AIMS International EMEA meeting in Budapest hosts SOCIAL MEDIA event

AIMS International, a leading global Executive Search firm, held its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) regional meeting in the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus in Budapest. “It was an honor for us to host this important event in Budapest. This is a sign of the growing importance of our city amidst the European capitals,” said Judit Simonyi, Managing Partner at AIMS-Hungary.

The meeting also was the framework for an event attended by managers of over 60 leading companies in Hungary. Under the slogan "SOCIAL MEDIA NETWORKING HR 2.0." HR decision makers from a vast array of industries came together to discuss the innovative options offered by of social media networking with a special focus on communication with current, past and future employees. International keynote speaker Euan Semple (www.euansemple.com) introduced the topic and Judit Simonyi moderated the event.

The ensuing panel discussion notably included Ms. Éva Somorjai, Chief Human Resources Officer of Magyar Telekom Group, refereed the Vice President of Budapest Bank, GE Money Bank, Mr. Ferenc Rolek and Mr. László Szöcs, Senior Vice President MOL Group.

All speakers were quick to agree that it no longer suffices to create personal or company profiles in social networks in today’s digital world. Those accounts need to be used for intelligent communication, sometimes “supplemented with a little gossip,” says @euan.

Many important topics related to the international development of AIMS International were discussed during the EMEA meeting which notably saw the election of Mr. Mika Hiltunen (AIMS International Finland) as Vice President, South EMEA and member of the Executive Board.
