Akadema Endorser Manny Ramirez Passes Robinson on RBI List

Hawthorne, NJ – June 3, 2010 – Akadema endorser, Manny Ramirez, reached another milestone on Monday night as he broke a tie with Frank Robinson and took over sole possession of 18th place on the Major League Baseball All-Time Runs Batted In (RBI) list. On Memorial Day evening, the Los Angeles Dodgers hosted the Arizona Diamondbacks at Dodger Stadium. In his first at bat, leading off the second inning, Ramirez hit a home run to left-center field off of Diamondbacks starting pitcher Rodrigo Lopez. The home run was the 550th of the Dodger left fielder’s career and the RBI was his 1,813th, putting him in sole possession of 18th place ahead of MLB Hall of Famer Frank Robinson. Just one day following his 38th birthday, Ramirez achieved the feat in the Dodgers’ win over the Diamondbacks. The 12-time All-Star needs just 14 more home runs to pass Reggie Jackson for 13th on the All-Time Home Run list.
