The new face of acting teachers

Within the framework of the World Theatre Training Laboratory for theatre research, a new course of studies for Acting Teachers is being launched at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico in co-operation with European Theatre Academies.This pilot project has the aim to lead to the first international M.A. programme for Teaching Acting and Directing.

The EU-Mexico project includes further activities, which shall serve the cultural exchange between European and Mexican artists:
• European Laboratories: research on training methods with invited actors;
• International Theatre Summer Academy: meeting point for young actors, directors,
pedagogues, held in a European country, guided by the European Team of Teachers;
• seminars in Europe on specific topics of training.
• Colloquia for the reflection the work-methods and results

Further project partners are European theatre academies and theatre centres as well as national ITI centres.
