(Free-Press-Release.com) April 25, 2010 -- The project was funded by the Japanese Government Research & Development Organisation
N.E.D.O (New Energy Development and Industrial Technology Organization) as a
research project for Wastewater Recycling & Treatment in the Emirate.

The project is aimed to design, build, operate and maintain for three years
a 2000 cubic meter per day MBR (Membrane Bio Reactor) along with 1000 cubic
meter per day RO Wastewater Recycling & Treatment Plant to recycle waste water

for industrial usage as an alternative to scarce potable water in the Al Ghail
Industrial Park, provided by RAKIA.

“Designed to achieve the stringent quality standards
laid down internationally for unrestricted public access irrigation,
the Wastewater Recycling & Treatment process will consistently produce
a treated effluent suitable for industrial and irrigation purposes”.

Plant Technologies said.


“ The main objective of the project is to provide the Emirate
of Ras Al-Khaimah with the best sustainable, environmental and

economical Wastewater Recycling & Treatment solution”.

The Wastewater Recycling & Treatment system, the most modern in the UAE,
showcases highly sophisticated environmental technology.

The treatment facility ensures that all forms of toxic and harmful
substances are removed and that the resulting treated Wastewater (or effluent)
is environmental friendly.

The aim of the project is to establish a business model in the term of an experimental
study. On successful completion of the experimental study, the business

of utilizing treated water for industries, irrigation, top up water for water
elements amongst other uses will be started.
