Something we all need to learn how to do is, alleviate anxiety attacks in our lives. Anxiety is revealed in many different ways physically. You may not even realize what’s going on in your body. Anxiety can increase your heart rate to the point that your heart is beating faster than it normally does for no apparent reason. You can get stomach cramps that are so severe, you may have to go to the doctor. Your breathing rate may escalate as many thoughts race through your mind. You may even feel light headed as if you’re about to pass out. Your whole body, can be affected by this feeling.

While dealing with anxiety, the most important thing that you should know is that you’re not the only one with this problem. Millions of people deal with this on a regular basis and they discover that when they look for help, they learn how to deal with their anxious feeling that is very real. They learn that they are not a victim of any type of mental illness. They realize that what they feel is very common.

Anxiety comes in different types. For example, most people will feel anxious if they have to attend a important meeting or if they are not sure why the boss calls them into his office. These are normal feelings.

Deep within our bodies in what’s known as our danger center. This is where the root of our anxiety is found which is the feeling that we must fight or flee. It has been called the ‘fight or flight’ feeling. This is a protective instinct that everyone has wired into our minds. Adrenaline is often a by-product of anxiety. That’s why you may have heard how certain people have sometimes done seemingly superhuman feats. So, now that you understand what anxiety is, let’s see how you can work on how to stop anxiety attacks.

You simply can’t always avoid a stressful situation that may bring the anxious feelings. What you can do is change your response to that stressful situation. In other words, what you need to do is take action and stop reacting. If you’re in the middle of a stressful experience and you are able to take a break, then you need to take a break. Separate yourself from the situation or event, the person or even the thoughts associate with the event and do something else. It is easier said than done but you need to give yourself permission to take a short mental break.

You must make the effort to do what you can to keep your life as simple as possible. You may live a lifestyle loaded with chaos because of what seems to be happening around you. If so, you need to put up some stop signs. Stop signs like, stop rushing around in the mornings like a chicken trying to get ready for your day. Try getting everything you need in the morning ready before you go to bed. A good way to do this is to write out a list of the things that need to be done. You'll find that a list will help break down into small pieces, what seems to be overwhelming.
