(Free-Press-Release.com) February 17, 2011 -- Alexander Hall "Lex" Johnstone is an entrepreneur, businessman and motivational speaker from Washington, D.C. He is most well known as the Founder and CEO of The World Advisory Company, a management consulting firm for small businesses in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

A native Washingtonian, Johnstone grew up in Bethesda, M.D. and attended Walt Whitman High School. It was during high school that he began his career with an internship at the Association of American Geographers in Washington, D.C.

Upon graduation in 2004, he attended Florida State University and became a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. It was during college that he embarked on his first business venture.

The project was a news and entertainment company focused on international city planning and development called The World Edition. The brand was centered around an online magazine that became very popular. As its Publisher, Johnstone recruited notable authors and professors from around the world to regularly contribute.

In 2008, he graduated with a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Social Science, having combined degrees in Urban Planning, Business and Media. Immediately after graduating college, he moved back to Washington, D.C. to pursue The World Edition full time. The publication developed a loyal following, but struggled financially as the recession hit hard.

In January 2010, Johnstone and The World Edition occupied an office in downtown DC and advertising revenue suddenly vanished. In order to get by, he naturally began helping other business owners struggling in the recession. He soon found that he had stumbled upon a powerful movement.

He soon established The World Advisory Company as a general management consulting firm for small businesses in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. By the Fall, he had grown the firm into diversified powerhouse and was working with more clients than he could handle. Throughout 2010, he successfully helped over 50 small businesses.

He has since grown The World Advisory Company into one of the leading consulting firms for small business in the national capital region. In addition to consulting, the company publishes an online magazine for small business owners called Small Business View. The World Advisory Company also regularly puts on events for small business owners in the DC area such as monthly seminars and the upcoming 2011 Small Business Expo of Washington, D.C. with Johnstone as its host.

Alexander Johnstone has accomplished a great amount in his young age and is only getting started. He plans to expand The World Advisory Company to become the leading provider of assistance to small businesses in the world. With such extreme ambition and determination, there is no limit to what he will achieve.

He currently lives in the Dupont Circle neighborhood of Washington, D.C. with his beautiful wife Michelle.
