The road for indie musicians to make their mark is not an easy one, no matter how talented they are: They must often perform at odd hours of the day or night in bars where people sometimes hardly pay any attention to them, and they seldom reap enduring financial rewards for sharing their music. So he has created a unique contest, The Alive with Clive YouTube Video Clip T Contest, which is described at http://bit.ly/coqPof , to shine a light on many of the indie musicians he has interviewed on Alive with Clive, enable them to become Alive with Clive Angels, and generate funding for the implementation of his Alive with Clive Top 20 Plan.

The winners of the contest earn the right to have a video clip in which they are featured shown on the Home Page of the Official Web Site for Alive with Clive, http://alivewithclive.tv , between now and December 31, 2010, and to be promoted by Clive in Press Releases, in Blog posts, on Twitter and Facebook, and in other available media outlets.

"What I am noticing is that the musicians who have developed the strongest bonds with their fans are able to progress the fastest," says Clive, "and this contest, which calls on fans to order 'I'm Alive with Clive' T-shirts for themselves, gives fans another opportunity to help the musicians they support stand out from the crowd, and provide funding for the implementation of The Alive with Clive Top 20 Plan at the same time, so that the musicians they support can obtain even more exposure."

The Alive with Clive YouTube Video Clip Contest has been divided into four phases. Scott Krokoff was the winner of Phase 1, which ended on July 6, and Anne-Margaret Redding was the winner of Phase 2, which ended on July 17. Phase 3 ends on July 31, and Phase 4 ends on September 30.

At the end of Phase 3, a video clip of every musician in support of whom at least one "I'm Alive with Clive" T-shirt has been ordered will be featured on the Home Page of http://alivewithclive.tv on at least one of the days between August 1 and September 30. At the end of Phase 4 on September 30, the musicians in support of whom the most "I'm Alive with Clive" T-shirts have been ordered will enjoy the right to have their video clips featured the most, in accordance with the rules outlined at http://bit.ly/coqPof , between October 1 and December 31, 2010.

To generate interest about the contest, Clive has made it possible for musicians in the contest and others to become Alive with Clive Angels. Alive with Clive Angels are people who place an order for at least ten "I'm Alive with Clive" T-shirts at one time to give as many fans as possible the chance to avoid shipping charges and be invited to a house concert, to be known as an "I'm Alive with Clive" T party, featuring one or more of the musicians, at which fans can take delivery of their "I'm Alive with Clive" T-shirts.

In addition, Alive with Clive Angels are featured on a Special Page at http://alivewithclive.tv/alivewithcliveangels.htm , where they are acknowledged and thanked for their participation.
