London, England, September 2009 – A 28 year old Female British Entrepreneur and owner of All About Surgery has stepped up to sponsor the Atlantic Dragon Boat challenge to row 3000 miles across the Atlantic later this year, setting off on the 6th December 2009.

Victoria Cooper, from Warwickshire, England, set up allaboutsurgery.co.uk after thinking of the idea to improve patient awareness within the Private Medical sector. Having undergone private cosmetic surgery herself and experience complications first hand she soon realised the lack of patient awareness and varied information made available to patients.

I am a great fan of people stepping up to the mark and taking on a challenge that others would not even consider, that is why Nick Jackson and Richard Dobbin will be the first sponsored team from All About Surgery.”

Victoria witnessed firsthand the challenge ahead when her husband, Andrew, attempted to win his own personal name on the boat by taking the 1 minute rowing challenge which is touring the country at various shows and exhibitions in the coming weeks and months.

“My husband is very competitive and saw a Competition to win his name on the Boat, he immediately jumped into the Concept II and took off at a sensational speed, coached by Nick all the way. I was really proud as he managed to come 2nd in the competition which is not bad for someone that hasn’t been to the gym for 6 years. He does try and run the odd half marathon in aid of charity but he is not one for training and this rowing challenge nearly killed him, that why I wanted to get involved and put the All About Surgery name to this event. It’s going to take 80 days to row the Atlantic, it takes my breath away just thinking about it!”
