New website has enjoyed surprising growth thanks to help from fans on Facebook.
The website Alternative Health WORKS, aka AltHealthWORKS.com, recently reached a major milestone when it received its 4,000th fan on Facebook.
The Facebook page was founded in May 2012 by AP Award winning journalist Nicholas J. Meyer of the Metro Detroit area. Nicholas has written for media outlets such as the Detroit Free Press, Dallas Morning News, Yahoo! Sports and News, The Arab American News, and more.
The website was founded with the goal of spreading knowledge and awareness about the importance of natural living, organic food, the movement for freedom from and transparency in genetically modified foods, the benefits of holistic medicine, and much more.
Nicholas' work has been cited by Dr. Joseph Mercola, a longtime guest of the popular Dr. Oz TV show and founder of Mercola.com, the world's most popular natural health website, as well as The Cornucopia Institute, one of the biggest organic watchdog organizations in the United States.
Included on the website are interviews with guests ranging from an organic hospital farmer to the head of the Organic Seed Growers and Trade Organization to the head of the campaign to have genetically modified foods labeled in California. On the Facebook page, Meyer shares content from dozens of other independent health pages and organizations in the form of articles, infographics and much more.
œI'd like to thank all of my Facebook fans for their continued support of the page; I truly appreciate their contributions, said Meyer, who plans to expand his coverage to include videos, product reviews, investigative reports and much more.
œI'm excited to see what the future holds in the world of organic food and holistic health, and I know that we can help lead the charge toward a better food landscape together.
