AMAN Insurance appointed as new ‘Trusted Agent’ for vehicle renewal initiative by the RTA

Dubai Islamic Insurance and Reinsurance Company (AMAN Insurance), the largest Islamic Insurance provider in the UAE, has been appointed as a ‘Trusted Agent’ by the Dubai Road and Transport Authority (RTA) under the RTA’s ‘Easy Licensing and Registration’ initiative. As part of the agreement, AMAN Insurance has been approved by the government agency to renew client vehicle registrations. The partnership is part of the RTA’s strategic move towards improving service delivery performance and increasing customer convenience. Present during the signing ceremony were Mohammed Abdul Karim Namat, Director - Vehicle Licensing Department, RTA; Ahmad Mohammed Bin Ghalib, Manager - Licensing Commercial Transport Activities, RTA; Rashid Al Meeza, Deputy Chief Operating Officer, AMAN Insurance; and Ahmad Hamad Al Suwaidi, Human Resources and Administration Manager, RTA.

RTA’s ‘Easy Licensing and Registration program was launched in 2010 and complements its mission to create a safe driving community, while enhancing customer experience, through the adoption of world class standards and innovative approaches to driver and vehicle licensing. The ‘Trusted Agent’ concept affords customers with an easier way to access key RTA services and also ensure prompt service delivery. ‘Trusted Agents’ like AMAN Insurance are expected to provide services on behalf of the RTA and increase the choice of face-to-face touch points for the customer by offering a larger service network.

‘Trusted Agents’ are selected based on a list of qualification requirements set by the RTA. These qualifications include the insurer’s network and geographical spread; the volume of transactions made over a certain period; customer service and the marketing programs implemented. The agency has also revealed moves to expand its 'Trusted Agent' network with additional insurers being added and new agent categories being developed. These include 'Trusted Agent-Opticians,' who will be approved to renew driver’s licenses and 'Trusted Agent-Motor Dealers,' who will provide improved RTA vehicle services to clients.
