At Amanda’s Academy of Dance we teach children, teenagers and adults to dance...but there is more. Through a balanced and guided approach we offer both technical and creative artistry. It is our goal that students will learn self awareness, patience, poise, comfort with their bodies, teamwork, respect and humor within a group.

CLASS SELECTION:
AAD is proud to offer the widest selection of dance styles in the Coulee Region. Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Hip-Hop, Pointe, Modern, Musical Theatre, Irish, Ballroom and Middle Eastern.

PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES:
Not only does AAD offer performance and competition opportunities but it is our goal to enforce a positive and enriching classroom environment for every dancer that walks in our doors!
AAD has intimate class settings, for more one on one student attention!
By reaching out to the community and to every person, regardless of age or ability, we strive to share our love for dance.

AAD offers the first and ONLY class for Young Dancer's of All Abilities.

Amanda Verthein, owner and director of Amanda's Academy of Dance is La Crosse has a vision that dance is an opportunity for all people to develop artistically, physically and socially. With this in mind, Amada has initiated the first Young Dancers of All Abilities class in her 2009/2010 class schedule at the academy. The intent of this class is to help children with disabilities live more comfortably and freely in the bodies by filling gaps in the developmental movement pattern in a fun and creative environment through movement, touch, breath and sound. Dancer's of All Abilities is inclusive to children of all developmental abilities and teaches acceptance and communication between sometimes challenging social stages. Taught by a registered Somatic Movement Therapist with an extensive dance background.
