Detroit, Michigan, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) February 28, 2011 -- WARREN, Mich. – The Ambassador Bridge is proud to announce it is participating in the “Go Red For Women” campaign with a bi-national effort to fight women’s heart disease for the second year in a row.

As part of the effort, there are free blood pressure screenings every Wednesday through Saturday from 3:00-6:00p.m. at the AMMEX Global Marketplace near the Ambassador Bridge. A $3.00 donation is made to the American Heart Association in the US for every fragrance sold at the AMMEX Global Marketplace and to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario from sales at the Ambassador Duty Free Store in Canada.

“Informing our customers about the warning signs of heart disease and getting employees involved is such a win/win for the community. We are happy to raise awareness for the ‘Go Red For Women’ campaign on both sides of the border,” said Stacey Kehr, president of the Ammex Global Marketplace. “We want to be part of their effort to empower women to take charge of their heart health and save lives.”

According to the AHA, nearly 500,000 American women die from cardiovascular disease each year.
