Ambergreen supports EdTwestival Local

(Free-Press-Release.com) September 8, 2009 -- Pioneering digital marketing agency Ambergreen is launching an innovative new application at the hugely popular Twitter event, the Edinburgh Twestival.

The technology, developed specially for EdTwestival Local by Ambergreen, will broadcast real-time tweets and twitpics during the event.

Running on large screens at the venue the application allows people to not only see all incoming tweets associated with Edinburgh Twestival, but will also show any images associated with the event when the tag #EdTwestival is included in Twitter updates.

The EdTwestival returns across the world with more local focus this month. On September 10 at Electric Circus, Edinburgh’s premier social media gathering will celebrate local music, culture and people, all in aid of CLIC Sargent, Scotland's leading children's cancer charity.

Eliza Dashwood, Account Director at Ambergreen and keen Twitterer (@cityferret) is also part of the team of organisers volunteering to arrange the special evening.

She says: “Once again we are so excited to be getting involved in the Edinburgh Twestival. We’re all massive social media geeks at Ambergreen so the Twestival is something we always look forward to.

In February this year the first Twestivals took place in hundreds of cities across the world, all organised in a short timeframe by fans of the micro-blogging service to raise money for charity.

As well as music acts on the night, EdTwestival Local will also see raffle prizes, food, drink and entertainment, all provided for free by local companies.
