Let us keep going down the same unethical, and greedy path that we have for many years, a road filled with greed, desire for more, things we can't afford, wastefulness and our use of credit cards, the piling on the debt that we as a nation seem to think we don't have to pay. Well, that's exactly who and where we are today. Americans all wish we could be just like our neighbors. Yes, we want to drive that Lexus 450, but only on credit, so we can say "look, we've made it!" So where are we? We are as a nation, at the highest level of national and personal debt in the history of this country. $13 plus trillion dollars of debt and climbing. Strangely, nothing of any substantive value has been produced from our debt and our buying cheaply made products. Nothing has been produced in this country in the last 11 years like a new electrical grid for Amercia to prevent blackouts, new solar and wind manufacturing that will produce clean and cheaper power, and yes, produce American jobs. Nothing has been produced yet, that will help anyone in this country personally or otherwise for the long-run because our greedy little leaders of this nation don't have the guts nor the concern but to line their own pockets and defame others around them. It appears that the ONLY institutions that have benefited from the Bush and Obama bailouts (yes they both did bailouts) have been the greedy Wall Street types, bankers, foreign and domestic car makers (most foreign), and the rich and the poor. Yes, both the rich and the poor, but nowhere in this statement do you hear me mention the "middle class" do you? Although the middle-class, or what is left of them pays the bulk of taxes into the federal coffers, they do not get the tax breaks like the rich do (Bush Administration tax reduction) or the refunds and credits like the poor receive (pay literally nothing into the coffers)-the fact is the lowly middle-class get NOTHING! But, they carry the weight of this nation on their shoulders, but for how much longer before this nation fails? Can a nation fail? Our course, it happens when countries are led by unethical and self-interested leaders, (includes the President, House, Senate, lobbyists, Chief Executive Officers, Chief Operating Officers, and shareholders that only care about what is in it for them), and is compounded by having a nation of people willing to be led around with rings in their noses as cow, all for the belief that someone is going to feed and shelter them, thus, we should trust are leaders, right? Wrong. So, what happened to things like honor, integrity, resourcefulness, caring, and being creative and industrious? Wasn't America once like that, or was it just a pipe dream? Recently, Glenn Beck, went to Washington, D.C., to give a big talk about "Restoring Honor to America" as a white shinning knight of his clan, so he could pound his chest and pump up his self-image to be like Martin Luther King--which he isn't and never will be. We don't need people like Glenn Beck fostering hate and false hope to the dim witted few! We do need to believe in ourselves, and our capacity for change and improvement. Hope by itself of worthless. We need to listen to inner ethical values for peace of mind and a proper prospective, and do what is right. America as a whole needs to stop whining and get off its rear and do those things it knows it must do to restore honor, instill integrity, and become its once industrious self. It needs to take the unethical bull by the horn and cut off those unethical horns to bring the bulls (President, House, Senate, lobbyists, Chief Executive Officers, Chief Operating Officers, and shareholders) inline with strong ethical values, and if not, put them all in jail. Amercian needs to unneeded wars overseas that kill our men and women, and others that end up as collateral damage. We need to stop involving ourselves in the politics of other nations. We have our own Constitution to deal with. Our country needs to cease running to the aid of every disaster overseas when we have plenty of disasters of our own right here in America to deal with. Our country needs to feed our poor, and provide healthcare for all citizens (notice I said only citizens), and if we'd stop spending trillions on foreign wars and placing troops overseas, then we could deal with issues of infrastructure imiprovement and border protection right here and now today! Until we do that we will be broke. We need to stop making jokes about our federal employees who for the most part, the public and politicians make jokes about. Most, if not all, a very ethical and work hard. It is but few that don't. Good employees need to have the guts to turn-in those that they know are wasteful, unethical or law breakers to their Office of Inspectors General or the FBI. Federal employees are generally scared that the recent improvements in the Whistleblower Protect Act will not protect them. We need to get over being afraid! As a nation, we need to stop buying things we don't need, put in an entire day's work (8 hours), provide quality work outputs to our employers and the people we serve, serve our family, and work diligently to set an ethical tone for all who work around us, near us, and see us. We must set the tone, the creates an image of correctness (not political correctness), and honor for all that we do. Once we achieve these goals, then America's dream can be restored, and all accomplished with any little Glenn Becks running around. We know what we have to do so let's do it. Write the Congress.
