America's Fastest Man, Ryan Hall, Is Ready To Bring Home An Olympic Medal

Ryan has been creating a huge buzz since he broke the record at the Boston Marathon last April. After finishing the twenty-six mile run in just 2:04:58, he earned the title of the fastest American marathoner in history!

While Ryan holds several other American records, this one made him a shoe-in for representing his country in this year’s summer Olympic Games. Ryan will also be the only “American-born” marathoner that will be competing.

Growing up in California’s San Bernardino County and a third generation athlete, Ryan’s rigorous training of running 140 miles per week has paid off and he is ready to carry the pride of his country on his shoulders. “This is a dream come true for me,” says Hall, “God has given me a healthy body to compete and a chance to give back to a Country that has given so much to me.”

Hall will not be alone in London, his wife and fellow competitive runner, Sara will also be with him. The couple is known, not only for their actions on the track, but also for their charity work through The Hall Steps Foundation. The biggest focus of the Foundation has been in Kenya, where the Hall’s have supported agricultural aid and clean water projects and even built a full-service medical hospital! The Foundation also sponsors legal counsel for victims of human trafficking, provides running mentorship programs for underprivileged communities in the States, and partnered with Team World Vision to raise nearly one million dollars for drinking wells in Zambia.

Ryan’s eagerness to vocalize his Christian faith has dubbed him “The Tim Tebow of running”, a nickname that he willingly accepts.
