AMERICAN AIRLINES UNVEILS $2BB TURNAROUND PLAN

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) February 2, 2012 -- FAIRLESS HILLS, Pa. -- American Airline executives revealed the flag carrier's restructuring plan during a meeting with its employees. Among others, American Airlines will terminate 13,000 jobs, termimate four of its employee pensions plans, and boost its revenues by $1 billion each year. This, the airline will achieve while under bankruptcy protection.

American Airlines also reported a $904 million net loss for the month ended Dec. 31, 2011, the first full month the carrier was in bankruptcy.
