American Business Airways pilot advances skills

American Business Airways Senior pilot, Tony Wright, after extensive study and in flight experience, obtained the Airline Transport Pilot license last month. The test which was administered by a representative of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is the highest level of pilot certification obtainable. The Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certification involves obtaining high levels of experience and increased standards are placed on the pilot. Once obtained, the ATP allows Captain Wright to pilot large and jet powered aircraft for the general public in commercial operations.
Although the current type aircraft that American Business Airways operates is not reguired to operated by a pilot with the ATP certificate, ABA encourages its pilots to obtain the higher certification as an indication of the Pilots' and ABA's committement to operating with the highest standards. Along with the ATP certification, Captain wright operates our aircraft to standards much higher than those required by the FAA to give our customers piece of mind that their comfort and safety is his top priority.
