Duravit launches showroom with M/S. Seema Sanitary Centre, Guwahati, Assam

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) March 12, 2010 -- Duravit bathroom products are being marketed successfully in over 90 countries worldwide. As a part of its market expansion plan in India, Duravit joined forces with its premium business partner M/S. Seema Sanitary Centre and opened a new showroom in Guwahati, the largest city of North-east India on the 17th of February 2010. The showroom displays a representative cross-section of the broad range of Duravit who has made a name for itself at an international level with outstanding design solutions for the bathroom.

"For over 20 years, the Duravit brand has been closely connected with a consistent innovation policy and bold design", reports Asutosh Shah, Managing Director of Duravit India. Over 40 projects have been realized through cooperation with high-profile designers such as Philippe Starck, Sieger Design, Norman Foster, Phoenix Design or EOOS. Numerous national and international design awards are testimony to Duravit’s performance in terms of product design and designer cooperation. Shah: "Visitors will therefore experience their visit to the showroom as an excursion through the world of international design". The creations of the French star designer Philippe Starck, which are prominently represented in the exhibition, serve as an excellent example in this respect. One piece plays a particularly significant role: the Starck 3 series. Starck 3 encompasses a sheer endless variety of models and is not only a resounding success in the private sector, but also a popular choice for the public and semi-public sectors. The unfussy, rectangular basic shape is the hallmark of all products. The individual objects are also characterised by the narrow all-round rim and the upright rear panel. “Guwahati now boasts a new venue for design and architecture. The showroom is an important step to bring outstanding, award-winning design to North-east India” concludes Asutosh Shah.

Banwarilal Bajaj established M/S. Seema Sanitary Centre in 1989. When designing the new showroom, Mr. Bajaj did not only focus on the requirements of the end customers, however, but also provides professional service for architects and planners. Model overviews and specifications are available to support architects and planners in a complex subject such as the bathroom. With the production of sanitary ceramics, bathroom furniture and the Bathtubs & Wellness division, Duravit covers the whole range of bathroom fittings with the result that planning and selection is also a lot easier as the ability to combine the individual items from a design perspective is already guaranteed.
“Our state of art showroom with homely ambience gives absolute solution to the customer’s needs, thus delivering satisfactory service to them and lives up to their expectations”, states Mr. Bajaj.
On one hand, the new showroom serves to encourage new impetus in the Indian market and on the other, it represents a investment by Duravit to further develop the company’s internationalization. Said Asutosh Sha
