Andre Farr Discusses New Bruin Leadership Alumni Athletic Council (BLAAC)

(Free-Press-Release.com) November 21, 2011 -- Hollywood…..This week UCLA Bruins fans can catch former defensive end athletic stand-out Andre Farr speaking about athletic alumni from UCLA and USC ‘striking it up’, in the upcoming celebrity bowling event, “The Showdown.”

“The Showdown”, which will take place on Friday, November 25th at Lucky Strikes Lanes & Lounge located at 800 W. Olympic Blvd in Los Angeles at the L.A. Live complex in downtown, will be comprised of any former athletic from any sport from UCLA and USC. "I'm always looking for ways to reconnect with former teammates and make a stronger connection for our campus and our community,” says Farr. Farr, who has been Chairman/CEO of the Black Sports Agents Association (BSAA) since its inception in 1996, says he came up with the idea of creating Bruin Leadership Athletic Alumni Association (BLAAC) after speaking with several former teammates about putting together several events to keep a connect with each other.

“The Showdown” will be the first event of its kind. “I thought what better way to introduce the organization with an event featuring both athletic alumni than a competition between the two schools. And to make it more interesting, it’s perfect the event is falling on the weekend of the big cross-town football rivalry,” explains Farr.
