ANDRE' SERRAILE "TALENTED TRUMPET SOLOIST"

(Free-Press-Release.com) October 6, 2009 -- Andre' Serraile was recently a contestant in the "I WANT TO BE A STAR" Showcase on October 2, 2009 at the College Of Southern Nevada "Horn Theater" in which he was rated in the top (5) five for best performances out of (24) twenty-four contestants.

Andre’ Serraile is a native of Las Vegas, NV whom was born in Bitburg, Germany. However, his roots go back to Louisiana. He was brought up by his father listening to Jazz, Blues, and Motown at an early age. Andre’ remembers his influence of vocalist and groups like, James Brown, Sam Cooke, The Temptations, and Smokey Robinson and the Miracles. At the age of 9, Andre’ started learning how to play the violin; however, integration in 1970’s moved him to a school where the band director didn’t teach violin, so Andre’, went home and told his father the problem. His father told him there is a cornet in the corner that your brother stopped playing. Why don’t you try it? So, Andre’ began a musical journey with it, and when he heard a solo by Nat Adderley of Cannonball Adderley and the Quintet. Andre’ fell in love with the sound. Later, he explored Miles Davis and Freddie Hubbard. Soon, Andre’ played trumpet for all the bands in high school. He had a couple of lessons; however, Andre’ is mainly self-taught. Later, Andre’ accepted a scholarship to play for the Grambling State University Tiger Marching Band. He finished college with a Degree Business Management and not music; however, he continues to his music journey here in Las Vegas. What really motivated Andre’ to continue was his experience with his mentor, Tom Porrello and encounters with two artists that encourage him. They were Freddie Hubbard and Jon Faddis.



Andre’ said, “Jazz is my greatest love; however, I enjoy different styles of music, which include Classical, Country, R&B, Funk, Blues, Latin, Reggae, Rock, Pop, Soul, Neo-Soul, Acid Jazz, New World, African, Afro-Cuban, Salsa, Smooth Jazz, Contemporary Christian, and of course, Gospel.”

Andre' Serraile, is very diverse and always sample playing all genres of music on his trumpet and perfects them everytime. He gives a performance and have his audience mesmerize by his sound. Andre' has a very impressive talent and resume.
