Wachler spoke on the latest developments related to the Recovery Audit Contractors (RACs) and the impact the contractors will have on long-term care providers, including skilled nursing facilities, home health agencies and hospice. RACs are government contractors paid on a contingency basis to recover Medicare overpayments to health care providers and to identify underpayments.
