Annemarie Wright 'Boris Johnson' art to feature in Westminster Tube station

(Free-Press-Release.com) November 18, 2011 -- From afar you will see an image of the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson. When venturing closer, you will see that the image is comprised entirely of handwritten text.

The image, entitled ‘On your bike’, which took over fourty hours to complete, features a selection of Boris Johnson quotations.

Wright, is most famous for her image of Tony Blair, created of handwritten names of fallen British soldiers from Iraq and Afghanistan, which was publicised internationally.

Boris Johnson, the Major of London since 2008, has polarised opinions with his unique leading style, bringing in fantastic initiatives such as the London bike scheme, or the more controversial ‘Boris Island’.
However, Wright is definitely a fan:

“I think Boris is hilarious. He always seems more human than most politicians, which I think is something that the public can identify with.”

The image will appear in Westminster Station, Jubilee Line, Platform 4, Westbound from 18 November 2011 for two weeks.

Annemarie graduated from the University of Wolverhampton in 2002 with a First class degree in Fine art and printmaking and is currently represented by the Woolff Gallery, London.

Since graduating, her work has exhibited World Wide.
