Annemarie Wright creates handwritten Stephen Fry portrait for Art London titled '@stephenfry', as a tribute to the self-professed Twitter fanatic

special marquee at the Royal Hospital in London’s fashionable Chelsea from Thursday 7 until Monday 11 October 2010.

Annemarie’s (31) previous work has included a picture of Tony Blair using the names of fallen soldiers from Iraq and
Afghanistan, and a picture of the Twin Towers depicting the names of the victims from the 9/11 terror attack; she is ecstatic
to be part of Art London:

“It is always a privilege to be part of such an amazing event. I have tried to emphasise my love for the city in this work, usingimages that I believe are iconic of London.”

The ‘In the city’ series contains three handwritten pieces, the ‘London Eye’ to celebrate its 10th anniversary, comprised of
interesting facts surrounding the wheel, ‘Baker Street’ tube station made up of a list of all the stations in London and the
legendary ‘Abbey Road’ street sign, detailing artists who have recorded at the legendary studios.

The final picture is of Stephen Fry, which has been created using a number of his entertaining quotes. This has been called '@stephenfry' as a tribute to the self-professed Twitter fanatic.

Art London 2010 are partnering with charity ‘Amber’, an organisation who give unemployed young men and women the
chance to sort out their problems and make a fresh start. Annemarie thinks this is a wonderful cause:

“It is so important in today’s economic climate that people are given the chance to be able to help themselves and Amber
allows them to do this with dignity”.

Annemarie will be attending the London Art Fair opening on Wednesday 6 October and will be exhibited through the Woolff
Gallery, London.
