After the used Toyota is certified, it is sold with the benefits of being a Toyota Certified Used Vehicle, the first of which is a 12-month/ 12,000-mile Comprehensive Warranty. This Warranty covers any repair or replacement of parts that have failed or deteriorated from normal use.

Next, those who purchase a Toyota Certified Used Vehicle will receive a seven-year/100,000 Limited Powertrain Warranty, which covers major engine and transmission components as well as internally lubricated parts. When the car is undergoing maintenance, this Warranty provides alternate transportation reimbursement and lodging reimbursement within 150-miles from the owner’s home. The coverage of the Limited Warranty begins when the vehicle is originally sold as new, but can be transferred to the new owner when it becomes a Certified Used Vehicle.

The Toyota Certified Used Vehicle Advantage also comes with one year of 24-hour Roadside Assistance. This service covers flat tires, lockout services, jump starts, towing, and fuel delivery. Owners can also be reimbursed for a tow to the nearest Toyota dealership.

There are several other advantages to buying a Toyota Certified Used Vehicle, including a 160-point quality assurance inspection and a CARFAX vehicle history report.
Toyota Certified Used Hybrids come with some additional benefits, such as an eight-year/100,000-mile Factory HV Battery Warranty and a 174-point quality assurance program.
