Announcing the Winners of the 2010 Trop Rock Music Awards

(Free-Press-Release.com) December 1, 2010 -- Key West, FL- November 5, 2010 – The tiny island of Key West, Florida was transformed into a virtual Margaritaville on November 5th, as loyal Parrot Heads and music lovers flocked to the 2010 Trop Rock Music Awards at the Casa Marina Resort.

Tropical rock, commonly referred to as Trop Rock, is a popular music genre that combines elements of reggae, rock and roll, Caribbean, country and zydeco. Inspired by the relaxing and laid back island lifestyle, the lyrics and musical compositions represent a stress free, escapism way of life that is very appealing to audiences of all ages.

The Trop Rock genre has become such a music staple that an awards ceremony was created to celebrate and recognize the efforts of these talented tropical crooners. Held each November in Key West, FL., and presented by the Margarita M.A.F.I.A, (Musicians, Artists and Fans In Alliance), The Trop Rock Music Awards formally recognizes singer-songwriters, musicians and professionals in the Trop Rock music industry.

The Trop Rock Music Award nominees in 17 categories are selected by votes from existing members of the Margarita M.A.F.I.A. and the award ceremony is held each year in Key West during the “Annual Meeting of the Minds” National Parrot Head Club Event. Congratulations to this year’s winners.
