Another Successful Education Seminar!

(Free-Press-Release.com) May 24, 2010 -- On Friday May 14, Integrated Medical held its 8th annual education seminar. Integrated Medical provides oxygen, wheelchairs, hospital beds and other various forms of medical equipment for patients at home. For the second year, it was hosted at the Sheraton in Cuyahoga Falls to Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Nurses, Social Workers and Nursing Home Administrators.

Two different sessions were available to the 130 people that attended. The first session was led by Elizabeth Cole where she discussed the Medicare Process to almost 100 physical and occupational therapists. The topic included coverage criteria, documentation and payment for wheeled mobility and seating products. The course offered 6 CEU credits to those attending. The second session was led by Judi Fischer where she taught 2 classes, the morning class was on Ethical Practices for Professionals and the afternoon class was on Clinical and Leadership Development. Those topics included professional responsibilities, record keeping and strengthening supervisory skills. They were attended by over 30 nurses, social workers and nursing home administrators and each person received 5 CEU credits for attending both classes.

As in years past, this was free to Integrated Medical’s referral sources as a way of educating on the DME industry. Breakfast and lunch were provided while overlooking the beautiful falls and many door prizes were enjoyed by those that attended. Plans are already underway for how to improve for the 9th annual education seminar next year!
