Ant Hive Games’ The Line to feature at GDC, San Francisco
Ant Hive Games, one of China’s first indie mobile games company, will be showcasing its groundbreaking game The Line at the Games Developers Conference in San Francisco on 28 February 2011.

Ant Hive Games, one of China’s first indie mobile games company, will be showcasing its groundbreaking game The Line at the Games Developers Conference in San Francisco on 28 February 2011.
The Line is based on the concept of the player having to draw in links on broken-line paths enable the game’s character Eddie to pass along, avoiding pitfalls and predators.
To improve the player experience, Ant Hive Games are working on further refinements to the game, which will players will soon be able to enjoy.
Florian Garcia, Ant Hive’s Creative Director and veteran of Ubisoft, commented:
“We have been blown away by how absorbed players have become in The Line. As a result we are working to create new universes for the game’s ultimate players to reach.”
Originally launched in 2010, The Line has been recognized by reviewers in the Far East, Europe and US as creating a new concept mobile games. Instead of the player being in control of the central character, the role of the player in The Line is to shape the environment thereby helping the character to succeed. As such, The Line was one of only five games nominated by a panel of industry specialists to contend in the Most Innovative Game category at the recent GSMA Mobile World Congress.
