The decision was not made lightly. Over the last eight months, sales of Moore's printed books declined to almost zero, while the ebooks were subject to a temporary outage on Amazon, which disrupted sales altogether for almost three weeks. Since the system was restored, sales rankings for the print books were pushed back to the millions, while the ebook sales ranks slid back to the high 600,000s. Sales of the ebooks plummeted to almost zero as well. Lowering the ebook prices did little to improve sales once Amazon redesigned its site to accommodate the "millions" of new customers expected from sales of its tablet, Kindle Fire.

"After a careful analysis of Amazon's selling history, we have concluded that Amazon is not the best secondary market for my fiction in print," Antellus CEO and author Theresa M. Moore said. "To date, the only books selling are my nonfiction, and any ebooks I have posted through Amazon's Kindle Direct Publisher. This means that Amazon will no longer enjoy its self-declared reputation for selling 'every book on the planet'. I have undertaken to sell the books myself exclusively through the Antellus site. If sales do not improve for the ebooks through the Christmas shopping season, I will pull those as well."

Theresa M Moore is the author of science fantasy adventure and nonfiction books and ebooks in various formats and publishes under the imprint Antellus. Her current series include the Children of The Dragon series of SF/vampire fusion books and the Saxon & Hampstead Investigations, Ltd. series of mystery/paranormal detective novels. She has written and published 5 nonfiction books on genre related subjects and publishing.

Antellus is a subsidiary of Nagrasanti Enterprises, located in Los Angeles, California. For more information, visit the web site or contact us by email at info(at)antellus.com.
