Anyone Can Design and Test iPhone Apps with PowerPoint Ease
MobiOne uses simple drag-n-drop functionality to design iPhone Apps That Function Directly on your iPhone!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) July 6, 2010 --
Flower Mound, TX -- Genuitec, LLC, a founding and strategic member of Eclipse Foundation, today announced an updated beta version of MobiOne Studio; the easiest and most intuitive Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) iPhone application design and testing tool for marketing professionals, art departments, user interface specialists, mobile developers and hobbyists. No technical knowledge is required to design and test iPhone applications on both Windows computers and actual iPhone devices. MobiOne Studio is free in the beta stage.
MobiOne is a simple to use, yet powerful iPhone application design and testing environment, with the simplicity of Microsoft’s (NASDAQ: MSFT) PowerPoint. Like PowerPoint, users begin by selecting an application template from MobiOne’s list of popular iPhone styles, then, with the help of drag-n-drop functionality, simply add tables, images and text to the design from the component palette. Next, users can test the look and feel of the app using MobiOne’s iPhone emulator that allows quick viewing of how the new design will work on an iPhone. Finally, the design can be downloaded and tested on actual iPhone devices (or shared with others) using the “Send To My Phone” feature. Application designs can be sent for review as either a text message or e-mail direct to anyone with an iPhone.
“When Genuitec set out to create a new generation of mobile application design and development technologies, we promised that anyone - not just software developers - could rapidly design and test mobile applications without any technical know-how,” said Wayne Parrott, vice president of product development at Genuitec. “Our vision of downloading and running your iPhone design directly on any iPhone is now fully realized with MobiOne’s AppSync technology. An interesting side effect of this step-by-step process is that we’re seeing the shift of responsibilities for application design from technical staff to previously ‘boxed-out’ business and marketing leaders who now have the ability to get their ideas quickly into the wild.”
MobiOne applications are completely “open” and are based on the latest HTML5 open Web standards and specialized to the WebKit rendering engine - the most advanced Web browser technology and the foundation for Apple’s Mobile Safari and Google's (NASDAQ: GOOG) Android mobile browsers.
“MobiOne destroys the traditional barriers to entry for iPhone application development by giving anyone the power to design advanced applications,” said Maher Masri, CEO of Genuitec. “Just as importantly, MobiOne streamlines the creation of previously-complicated mobile Web sites that can be now easily designed and accessed by anyone with a smartphone or smart device.”
