Apeejay Stya Research Foundation establishes R&D centre for Industry and Academia

Apeejay Stya Research Foundation (ASRF) established the Research & Development Centre under its aegis. The Research & Development Centre was inaugurated by the Honorable Mrs. Sushma Berlia, President of Apeejay Stya Group (ASG) and Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University. The underlying purpose behind establishing Research &Development Centre is to develop new and cost effective processes and formulations for the existing range of products which are either in great demand or too expensive. The R&D centre will also help the students of Apeejay Stya University to conduct their rural health development programme.

The Research & Development Centre is headed by one of the most renowned scientists, Dr. M P Mahajan (Former ISRO scientist). He has more than four decades of research experience in different Universities and Institutes of international repute. The Centre is well equipped with state of art modern sophisticated equipments and highly competent trained scientific manpower.

The Research & Development Centre aims to provide an effective interface between the academia and industry as envisioned by the country’s higher education drivers as well as accrediting agencies like NAAC. The Apeejay Stya Group having made incredible contributions in the field of higher education and with its significant presence in the pharmaceutical industries, it provides a platform for a healthy and fruitful interaction between the varsity and the industry researchers. The Research & Development Centre will also provide logistic support to the researchers of the Apeejay Stya University (ASU) for enabling them to undertake the research projects relevant to the societal needs.

The inauguration ceremony was attended amongst by the honorable Dr. K. K. Dwivedi (Vice Chancellor, ASU), Dr. M. P. Ms Asha Chandola (Dean, School of Biosciences and Clinical Research, ASU).
