Apple EasyPay for the Holidays

Streamlining the purchase process, Apple introduces EasyPay.

Last week, he posted on facebook "Apple just blew my mind." Among the first to use the EasyPay app, he was impressed when he went to the Apple store to purchase an iphone charger dock. Simon didn't know about EasyPay when he went in, but a store employee was showing him the latest in purchasing when Simon said "You're about to blow my mind, aren't you?" She said "Yup!" and smiled. When asked how long the purchase process took, Corbett replied "Probably a matter of 20 seconds and Apple emailed my receipt to me." With EasyPay, he scanned the item on his iphone, plugged in his itunes passcode and Apple sent him the receipt.

Usually, there is a curve to innovative new ideas taking hold, but not this one. It's a simple solution to long lines and customer service issues. Simon didn't use the additional online features for research-he know what he wanted- but next time he will likely use the reviews, ratings and product specs available pre-purchase. Apple has also made it possible to pre order products so that your items can be ready and waiting when you arrive.

Simon was blown away and posted on facebook after using the solution for the first time. As for this holiday season, he feels he will be "Way more inclined" to shop at the Apple store because of the ease of use. He also feels that any and all stores would benefit from a similar solution, especially those that are super busy or lack great customer service. No one likes waiting in long lines, especially busy professionals like Corbett Simon.
