Applewood Acres Landscaping Pledges Financial Support For Mississauga Hockey League Team

(Applewood), today announced that it was making a financial donation to assist with the sponsorship of the Objibwa Bantam-Minor hockey team (LP22) that are part of the Lorne Park Hockey League in Mississauga.

The Mississauga company has a reputation beyond delivering excellent landscaping services (voted # 1 by Homestars.ca). It has for years been a supporter of local schools, charities and other community organizations either through financial assistance or donating their services free of charge.

We know that many businesses have suffered through this great recession, and as a result many sponsors have unfortunately not been able to make the same commitment they may have made in the past. That’s why we recognized that our support was more important then ever before, says Barb Brzakala, Applewood’s Spokeperson..

Brzakala went on to say that to the boys and girls on LP22, they don’t care about the financial overhead of having to pay for all of the things that go along with running the league...all they care about, is lacing up and hitting the ice to participate in Canada’s greatest pastime. Denying them that pleasure (for lack of funding or anything else ) would make for an extremely long winter, says Brzakala.

Lorne Park has several levels of teams, that compete against other similar teams varying in age and skill levels, from six other local leagues ( Port Credit, Meadowvale, Erindale, Applewood, Cooksville and Credit Valley). All of these local leagues comprise the Mississauga Hockey League (MHL)
