(Free-Press-Release.com) July 26, 2010 -- The Home Valuation Code of Conduct is the result of a joint agreement between Freddie Mac, the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA), and the New York State Attorney General with the intent increasing the accuracy of the real-estate appraisal process.

The HVCC mandates more 3rd-party involvement in home valuations, which has been seen by pundits as a move that will push future appraisals increasingly to Appraisal Management Companies, also known as AMC's.

Appraisal Management Companies are controversial in the appraisal industry due to the margin of profit they take for assigning and distributing appraisal orders. However, they're also controversial for being relatively unknown to many appraisers, which may lead to a shift in appraisal order assignment as more and more appraisals are pushed towards AMC registered appraisers.

Both sites presently contain a comprehensive list of Appraisal Management Company links, ratings, and data pulled from the BPO National Database - an in-depth project by BPO Automation to document industry-leading Appraisal Management sites.

However, BPO Automation indicated future plans to build out Appraisal order management software as an industry-portal: something that spokespersons for the company say is already in the works.
