April 20th and 21st 2010- LEED Preparatory Classes in NJ - Rated #1 for Real Estate Professionals

(Free-Press-Release.com) March 2, 2010 -- Brick New Jersey – The Ocean School of Real Estate, in affiliation with Forever Green Training & Sustainable Design, will offer a two day training course on “green” building design written especially for Real Estate Professionals. The twelve-hour course will be given on April 20th & 21st from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm at 150 Chambersbridge Road in Brick NJ 08723

Those who complete the course will receive a certificate of eligibility that enables them to take the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) for Green Associate accreditation examination, offered by the U.S. Green Building Council through the Green Building Certification Institute (www.GBCI.org). This accreditation was created specifically for professionals who wish to demonstrate green building expertise in non-technical fields of practice.
“This two day course will also be beneficial for A/E/C professionals – including architects, interior designers, project managers, engineers and marketing folks – who already have basic knowledge of green design, construction, and operation,”.

Irene Santoro, LEED-AP, founder and president of Excel Design & Construction Inc., Charles Anthony Interiors, LLC. and Forever Green Training & Sustainable Design (the latter two are USGBC members), Her Course has been rated #1 by the top real estate schools in NY & NJ, and will be the instructor for the course. Ms. Santoro has 20+ of design and construction experience. She is currently redesigning her own beachfront home in Beach Haven New Jersey to meet the standards for LEED-certification and will be certified as Gold LEED for Homes.
Ms. Santoro has written several preparatory books and study outlines that coordinate with the LEED reference guides. These books include: The Green Building Design & Construction V3, Green Associate Plus and The Green Real Estate Guide to LEED Certified Building & Sustainable Design.
