April 26th CalPERS Candidate Forum

Sacramento, California, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) April 6, 2011 -- A ballot package will be mailed to 1.6 million CalPERS members on April 21, 2011 in a special election for a vacant "at-large" seat for the California Public Employees Retirement System board of directors.

PERSWatch will sponsor a candidate forum so that members and the general public can meet and ask questions of candidates for the CalPERS board. The forum for the Member-At-Large candidates will be held on April 26, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the CalPERS auditorium at 400 P Street, Sacramento. There will be free parking under the building. Enter the garage through the entrance on the left of Q Street.

Don't miss this opportunity to meet all eight candidates and to ask them all those tough questions. The “CalPERS Candidates’ Forum” will be moderated by the League of Women Voters of Sacramento County.

Seating is limited to 200 people. Sorry, no food, drink or candidate campaign materials will be allowed in the CalPERS auditorium. Please bring a pen or pencil. All questions presented to the candidates must be in writing and will be screened and sorted by League volunteers to avoid unnecessary duplication.
