"LovePower and Peace" Charity single by Robin George and the Lovepower Band is released on 11-4-11 in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support

(Free-Press-Release.com) February 21, 2011 -- I mentioned to a friend that I was planning to mix the song featuring all those artists, and he suggested making it a charity single. It was so obviously a great idea that my enthusiasm was shared by everyone I approached. As I invited each artist to join LovePower, they would suggest others that they thought would love to be involved for example, Pete Thompson (Robin Trower Band) introduced Pete Haycock (Climax Blues Band) Dom Brown (Duran Duran) has just got involved.

Now we have over 50 fabulously talented artists on what has grown into a 17 track CD which will be released soon.

So this has become a labour of lovePower not only for me, but for all of the great artists involved. Everyone has commented that they feel honoured to be working with such fabulous musicians for such deserving causes,

ROBIN GEORGE and the LOVEPOWER BAND are Pete Haycock, Mel Collins, Charlie Morgan, Charley Charlesworth, Jacqui Williams and Robin George. Joining the LOVEPOWER BAND and contributing to this unique album*, produced and masterminded by ROBIN GEORGE, are musicians who have worked in bands and with artists including HANOI ROCKS, DURAN DURAN, SUGABABES, URIAH HEEP, MOTORHEAD, KING CRIMSON, DAVID BOWIE, ELTON JOHN, MOTT THE HOOPLE, QUEEN, THIN LIZZY, DIAMOND HEAD, ELO, ALICE COOPER, LOU REED and TINA TURNER.
The LOVEPOWER BAND is also joined by soul legends JAKI GRAHAM and RUBY TURNER.
As well as the musicians who have freely dedicated time and talent to this extraordinary project, others include the Children Of The World Choir, a male rock choir,2 School Choirs, photographers, journalists, art and recording studios and record companies.
*The entire profits from this release will be donated to three charities: MACMILLAN, HAVEN HOUSE and COMPTON HOSPICE.
