APRIO Governance Information Software Names New Board Member. Former top executive of Sun-Rype Products and Warner-Lambert Canada brings extensive corporate and governance expertise

(Free-Press-Release.com) October 27, 2011 -- VANCOUVER, BC—John Kidder, Chairman of APRIO Inc., today announced the appointment of Eric Sorensen to the Company’s Board of Directors.

Kidder said, “Eric’s relationship with APRIO began as a shareholder, then as a client. I'm delighted that he's now joining our board. Eric’s demonstrated business acumen, leadership and commitment to improved corporate governance will be an asset for our company and our customers.”

Sorensen was CEO of Sun-Rype Products Ltd. (TSX:SRF), a leading juice and food company and previously, president of Warner-Lambert Canada (now Pfizer), one of Canada’s largest pharmaceutical, health and confectionery organizations. He now is the managing partner of Del Sur Brands, a consulting firm enabling foreign brands to develop business in Canada.

His governance experience includes director roles with BC Lottery Corporation and the Central Okanagan Economic Development Commission, and as chair of the Penticton Vees BC Hockey League franchise. He was also appointed by the Province of British Columbia to the UBC Okanagan President’s Advisory Council.

A graduate in marketing management from the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), in 2009 he was recognized by the BCIT Alumni Association with a Distinguished Alumni Award for Professional Leadership. He also completed the Executive Program for Smaller Companies at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
