Area Homeowner Solutions Helps Vacant Property Owners
Every vacant building has a story, and many of them are sad. Distressed situations create distressed buildings, and Area Homeowner Solutions, a NY Capital District company, may hold the solution.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) February 19, 2010 --
Almost everyone will agree that a vacant building is an eyesore, but the problem goes much deeper than that. Vacant buildings are a serious hazard, especially to children. Children, spiked by curiosity, are attracted to these buildings, many of which are not structurally sound. Serious injury can occur when floors give way or stairs aren't secure.
Neighbors trying to sell their home may find they cannot sell or they must sell for less because the vacant building on the block has driven the prices of the surrounding houses down.
Area Homeowner Solutions has announced its new plan to begin targeting the owners of these properties to find out what help they need with respect to these vacants. Area Homeowner Solutions is part of a large network of real estate investors who have made it their goal to improve neighborhoods "one building at a time."
Babs Wagner, a representative of the company, stated, "Many of these properties were purchased by investors with good intentions, but something happened along the way to prevent the renovations from being completed. With the real estate market the way it is, and the over-abundance of properties flooding the market, these distressed properties fall by the wayside and can sit for years neglected. That's where we come in!"
Renovating a building is not a job for the faint of heart. Many of these buildings contain mold, lead paint, and other hazards that require a professional to handle. Stripping a building down to the studs and starting from scratch seems like a daunting task to most people, but to these investors, it's just what they do, and they do it well.
"We want to get the message out to the communities that we are available to discuss any situation presented in a confidential manner. We find many owners who are tax delinquent or behind on mortgage payments and really need some help. All information provided to us is used only to assist the homeowner in getting out from under the property, and we hold all information provided to us in the utmost confidence."
