Epoxy Resin tops are solid one-piece castings which are highly resistant to corrosion from exposure to common laboratory bases, reagents, salt and solvents. Epoxy Resin tops are available in thickness of 1′′ and 3/4′′ and are available with a raised, front marine edge upon special request.

The plastic is made from fine fibers molded together with genuine phenolic resins which during molding flow in a chemical-physical reaction to achieve a solid plastic bond front face to face. The top and bottom surfaces are of alpha cellulose fiber totally impregnated with genuine melamine. This sheet becomes transparent in the molding operation and provides additional resistance to staining, scratching and abrasion.
′′Solid Bond′′ surfaces are perfectly flat and level, preventing objects from rolling or sliding about. ′′Solid Bond′′ tops, backsplashes and edges are all formed from a single sheet of stainless steel with the edges formed down and flanged under for protection. All corners of the tops are heliarc welded and ground smooth for integral, uniform construction.

The Type BT Balance Tables are sturdily constructed to resist vibrations. A 1 inch stone top is furnished to assist in obtaining true level and vibration free positioning. For applications where weighing is critical additional vibration dampeners are available if specified.
The Type UT Utility Tables are constructed for rugged use, to be moved wherever and whenever needed. They are available with drawers and the type of top most suited to the general requirements of the laboratory.
Stainless Steel work surfaces are constructed of 304 stainless steel with a #4 finish. Corners are formed, welded, then polished and ground to match the pattern. Reinforcing channel members are welded to the underside to provide structural rigidity to the entire surface. Overall thickness is 1".
