Arizona Cannabis Society announces medical marijuana collective to start July 1st!

June 14, 2011 Medical news in Phoenix,Arizona, United States of America

Arizona Cannabis Society has announced it will begin excepting patients for the Arizona Cannabis Society Collective scheduled to start July 1st.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Phoenix, Arizona, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) June 14, 2011 -- Arizona Cannabis Society is proud to announce the opening of its patient Collective and Compassion Club July 1st! Arizona Cannabis Society will be accepting 100 patients in the first of three "phases" of the Collective program designed to get medication into the hands of Arizona's 4000 plus new medical marijuana patients.

Arizona Cannabis Society was the state's first group to legally distribute medical marijuana after the passing of prop 203 and has since sponsored other compassion clubs across the valley, ACC and AZP2P for starters. These patient to patient networks of volunteers went to work getting medication into the hands of any patient that had a valid Arizona doctor's recommendation for medical marijuana long before DHS even had a chance to make rules governing the medical marijuana program in Arizona.
Now with the state of Arizona filling a lawsuit against the US asking for a "declaratory judgement" regarding the legality of the program, it would appear Arizona Cannabis Society and the compassion clubs and houses it sponsors will become an invaluable asset to medical marijuana patients here in Arizona.

Not only did Arizona Cannabis Society announce their Collective, they did it in style! Teasing the masses with pictures of the $1.5 million dollar hydroponic facility that seemed to come straight from Area 51 somewhere, Arizona Cannabis Society isn't just growing, they are GROWING!

They have several websites as well as Arizona's largest medical marijuana patient forum and they don't seem to be slowing down or stopping anytime soon, in fact the CEO of Arizona Cannabis Society, Bill Hayes told us "The lawsuit will only stop the dispensaries, prop 203 was written for patients and we will continue to assist patients that need medication. We add five to 10 new members a day to the AZCS forums, and we haven't even begun to advertise!"

Patients in Arizona can still get a "Prop 203 card" from DHS however, should the state stop issuing cards there is a "back-up plan" in the wording of the proposition that allows patients to get "legal" with or with out DHS's participation. It was for this reason that "Arizona Cannabis Society will continue to expand coverage around the state to better assist patients that need medication services" said Hayes, "people are suffering for no reason at this point and I refuse to stand around waiting for some politicians to figure out how to proceed, we know what Arizona's medical marijuana patients need and we're seeing they get it."
