FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Huntington Beach, California, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) August 2, 2011 -- According to the records of the state treasuries of Arizona, the pile of unclaimed money was increasing at an alarming rate despite the efforts made by governmental agencies. As per the figures, such is the massive pile of state unclaimed money that every individual residing here could receive a sum of 139 dollars.

The total Arizona unclaimed money comes to a massive $917 million dollars, which has become the main cause of concern for the state even after agencies returned $24.2 million dollars to the citizens. The unclaimed money or property in the region of Arizona is mainly in form of dormant saving accounts in the financial institutions like insurance companies and banks. Banks house these in forms of unused or unclaimed gift cards, deposit boxes and stamps, which are claimed in millions each year but still the state is facing the problems of unclaimed properties.

As per the Arizona's Unclaimed Property Act, the government released certain initiatives and new amendments for the people and the state agencies have to follow. This act was supposed to reduce the burden on the state agencies who manage the state unclaimed money but the results so far have not been satisfactory. The state agencies are blaming this on the ignorance and lack of knowledge among the people of the state.

The federal agencies in Arizona have been working harder to make the public aware about the advantage of reclaiming the unclaimed property for personal finances. As per the unclaimed property act, the unclaimed property department of the state has to publish information regarding the claiming process of properties in any local newspaper twice in a year for the people.

Arizona is also maintaining a dedicated website for the betterment of property search for the public so that they do not have to approach to the state department for getting information. Users can enter first and last name to get information on unclaimed money or property under his or her name scattered in the region. Other than publishing the information, the agencies also have to mail the notifications personally to the public. Despite all these attempts, the growth of unclaimed piles is still more than reclaiming.
