AROUND TOWN WEST MICHIGAN MAGAZINE TO PREMIERE JANUARY 2012

Around Town West Michigan Magazine is a new online local magazine covering the Lakeshore; Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo and all points in between. The magazine will include monthly articles featuring local bands, interviews with local radio personalities, as well as highlighting local authors & their books. It also includes movie & restaurant reviews, an events calendar, trivia, handy guides to local restaurants, bars and shopping, funny editorials, featured getaway locations, and stories on life here in the Mitten, as well as promoting a different local charity each month. The magazine is all about where to go, what to do, and what’s happening in West Michigan.

“West Michigan is a unique place to live, unlike anywhere else I’ve been.” Says Kathy Henson, co-founder of the online magazine. “We have such a diverse offering of restaurants, culture, nightlife, and entertainment choices. We’ve found, though, that it can be really difficult to find one source letting locals know about all of the cool things going on right in our own backyard. Around Town West Michigan Magazine will work hard to bring these things to our readers every month.”

The magazine has a unique distribution, as free Google e-Book, giving us great exposure and advertising. We are also working with several of the local district libraries who are distributing the link to our site via their e-marketing and newsletters, as well as with local colleges and universities to be emailed to parents, students and alumni. Finally, we have also partnered with several local non-profit organizations to be included in their email blasts to their donors. This unique distribution offers a conservative estimate of 30,000 links/month.
