Article writing tips

When you are writing an article it is better to follow a certain set of rules or article writing tips, than just to "pull it out of your ear". When you are improvising and not working according to a plan, you can have great ideas, but the reader will never know about it because you didn't write them in the best way. When I write articles I try to follow these article writing tips:

Tip - 1 - Make sure that the beginning of the article explains what this article is regarding. It is said that you have only 3 seconds to grab the user's attention, if you didn't do it in the first 2 sentences, - Game Over !

Tip - 2 - Make your article neat and tidy, don't have "blocks" of long boring text, keep your information brief, to the point, and always use paragraphs.

Tip - 3 - Give relevant info about a subject that users like to read about. Don't just write bla bla bla for the search engines, give real valuable information that readers would want to link to.

Tip - 4 - SEO works! Always decide what it the main keyword / phrase that the article is concerning, and try to repeat it, but not too much, as that can get you to lose SEo value.

Tip - 5 - SEO works 2! Link to other sites that have value to your users (for article wrtitng a few sites I recommend are: Adwords keyword tool - for Keyword research, http://www.free-press-release.com and http://www.smuze.com (my site) for article posting.

Tip - 6 - Be honest, it is legitimate to promote things in your article, but be honest, and tell people - this is promotion (as I did above saying http://www.smuze.com is my site).

Tip - 7 - If the subject is complicated, use what I call "Star-Trek Analogies" , after saying something complicated like "we have to transfer the energy from the engines to the vortex" (there is always a vortex in ST), explain it like "it's like blowing up a bloon and then releasing the air in it …" J

Tip - 8 - Use HTML attributes to make your articles look better (Bold, Underline, links etc…) this is makes it easier for your readers, and enhances the SEO value you get.

Tip - 9 - Always end your article with a call for action or an encouragement for the readers to comment like:
