ARTIST MICHAEL JAMES CREATES and PAINTS SPECIAL SERIES for PUERTO VALLARTA GALLERY

Michael James, an abstract artist from Toluca Lake, on the perimeter of Los Angeles, California has been asked to create two different series for exclusive representation by the Galeria Vallarta in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. After spending the 2011-2012 winter at his studio in Puerto Vallarta and continuing to display art at the Galeria Vallarta, owner Barbara Peters, asked if Michael would create two different series for the gallery. The first will be small but 1.5" deep, replicating his Designer Series retailed in exclusive shops in the Los Angeles. Barbara Peters says, " I love the idea of an original abstract painting that is colorful, textured, and easy to hang or stand anywhere. It's an impulse item but original art." The second series will be abstract but with marine themes and patterned after Michaels's technique used in his "Complexity..." series, where a pallete knife is used to layer the paint. Michael has begun working on the smaller series while at his studio in Puerto Vallarta. He will begin the second series after returning to his Toluca Lake studio in March. Michael's paintings are continally on display at Carol Bennetts Industry Hair & Gallery in Toluca Lake and at the Galeria Vallarta.
