FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) April 29, 2010 --
After a two year absence, the Little Church of LaVillita is sponsoring their fundraising art festival at a new location and on a different date. The Starving Artist Festival will be held at the San Antonio Housing Authority Park located on S. Main Avenue between W. Sheridan and W. Guenther. This event takes place from 10am to 6 pm on Saturday May 1, 2010 and on Sunday May 2, 2010 from 10 am to dusk.
Elaine Lanoue and Guiteau Lanoue are artists who have participated in this event for over 20 years. Elaine Lanoue is an acrylic painter and Guiteau Lanoue creates contemporary art from handmade paper, collage and paint. They will offer their art at "starving artist" prices in order to stimulate sales for this fundraiser. Ten percent of every sale goes to the Little church of LaVillita for their feeding program. This is a once a year studio sale in San Antonio by these two artists who really want to participate in this important program.
They are hopeful that previous art collectors and new patrons will come out to support this event.
