AS STANDARDIZED TEST PANIC SETS IN, TEST STRESS SPECIALISTS OFFER FREE WEBINAR

February 17, 2012 – Palm Beach County, FL. Elementary school standardized test dates are fast approaching and looming over many children and their families, but a Florida based children’s educational media company offers hope and laughter! The producers at Page Turner Adventures are launching a free webinar on Thursday, February 23, 2012 to address fears over standardized testing. Since the husband & wife team is Florida based, they’re presenting the webinar a week before Florida’s BIG TEST (the FCAT) begins. The first round of the FCAT is on Feb. 28th & 29th with the main test for reading, math and science for 3rd-5th on April 16th. Other states have similar schedules, so this “testing season” is the perfect time to teach kids how to cope with stress, no matter where they live. With this free webinar, the Emmy Award winning producers hope to take the fear out of the BIG TEST for both parents and children.

The free webinar is a guide on to how to prepare for tests and gives both parents and children a valuable resource, with stress management being the main focus. Riley Roam, producer at Page Turner Adventures, explains, “Standardized testing, like it or not, is something that is not going away any time soon. Children are dealing with this high-pressure situation NOW and a nationwide standardized test is schedule to go online 2013. This webinar presents coping tools for the reality that your children will have to face. We’ll show you how to reassure, empower and build confidence in your
kids. We show you how to develop these life skills in a fun way.” Kenny Mikey, Co-producer adds “The information is presented in an informative yet entertaining manner and will help children and their parents gain skills necessary to conquer the fear of test taking. We want kids to feel confident, positive, and motivated to do their very best.” He adds, “And I’m sure that’s what every parent wants too!”

The strategies in the webinar are based on their iParenting Media Award winning series that plays in schools and on PBS stations nationwide. “It was important to us that everyone could have access to these tools and so we made a conscious decision for this initial webinar to be free,” states Roam.
