FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) December 15, 2011 --
Senior Intelligence Analyst Paul Wood for Symantec ASC-091 exam cloud stated that the mentioned targeted assaults had the purpose of acquiring constant admission into the network of the company or organization targeted, often seeking to facilitate admission into secret data from the remote. The assaults had the ability for resulting in severe destruction to a company as also after a substantial time towards posing a considerable danger to many countries' economic prosperity, Wood explained. Marketwatch.com reported this on December 6, 2011.In terms of mean targeted assaults, a total of 94 were caught daily in November 2011 compared to 25 during January 2011.
Back at the beginning of November, Symantec ASC-091 exam researchers made public a report they compiled on a spear phishing campaign carrying a backdoor Trojan that was systematically targeting companies in the chemical and military industries.I guess the researchers hoped that once those details are made public the attackers will be forced to change tack - if not stop altogether. But, as it turns out, the orchestrators of the campaign continued undaunted and continued to use the same approach: sending emails with password-protected archives containing the malware as attachments, and even using the same hosting provider for their command and control servers.
Security researchers at Symantec ASC-091 exam today confirmed that exploits of an unpatched Adobe Reader vulnerability targeted defense contractors, among other businesses."We've seen [this targeting] people at telecommunications, manufacturing, computer hardware and chemical companies, as well as those in the defense sector," said Joshua Talbot, senior security manager in Symantec's security response group, in an interview Wednesday. The inclusion of defense contractors was not unexpected.Symantec found attack emails dated Nov. 1 and Nov. 5, 2011.
