Announces New Website Launch
Washington D.C, April 6, 2011: The Asian American Government Executives Network (AAGEN) takes pleasure in announcing the re-launch of their website. Brand new for 2011, the website can be found at www.aagen.org.
AAGEN members are among the highest-ranking government career members and appointees. Congratulations to New AAGEN Chair, Tommy Hwang, who initiated a complete website makeover in conjunction with the 2011 AAGEN Conference and Banquet Planning Committee and to Conference Planning Chair Dr. Jeremy Wu and outgoing Chair Dr. Yann King who especially lent their vital support and critical feedback to the redesign process.
The new website features online membership application and renewals, 2011 AAGEN Conference and Banquet registration and quick registration for a wide variety of AAGEN events.
The AAGEN website now offers access to a number of Member-only features, available only after log-in; it also offers new functions such as:
• Discussion Forums
• Member Blogs
• Networking (Member Directory)
• Focus on AAPI Issues (media updates, Congressional activity, White House AAPI Initiative updates)
• Executive Vacancy Announcements (Government opportunities, GS-14 and above or equivalent)
• And social networking capability through synchronizing with Facebook
The new website significantly improves AAGEN’s ability to deliver updated information in a timely manner.
