Suwanee, GA –AtHomeNet Inc., a metro Atlanta web services provider, promotes their continued partnership with Edison State College in Florida. The relationship began in 2008 when AtHomeNet CEO, Susan Sanders was selected as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Community Association Managers Program (CAMP) to provide internet technology education for community managers in Florida.
As the relationship has grown, so has the education program, now offering a course for community board members, the Community Association Officers Forum (CAOF). Under the direction of Dr. Beth Hagan, the program is dedicated to providing higher education to the members of the community association management industry. CAMP courses have been designed to fulfill the requirements of the Florida law that requires community association managers to have continuing education. CAOF courses were created to provide community board members education in a variety of disciplines as required by the state of Florida.
“Association management is a very demanding field with multiple dimensions that have evolved over the years. We’re honored to be involved in the process of establishing an educational standard with so many respected industry peers. As SMEs, we have an important responsibility to ensure that association and community managers have all the tools they need to manage their communities easily and efficiently,” remarked Susan Sanders.
Originally, the programs were offered on the Edison State College campus, but are now available online, giving community managers multiple options for obtaining their state mandated educational credits.
AtHomeNet offers registration for both CAMP and CAOF courses through their website, making this important education available to managers throughout the United States. Course topics include accounting, budgeting, hurricane season preparedness, insurance, technology tools and more. AtHomeNet representatives certified as SMEs teach courses about web site terminology, association websites, and technology tools for community association managers.
“This partnership has allowed us to extend the reach of our educational programs outside of Florida, and we’re looking forward to helping even more community managers expand their knowledge of the industry and the important issues within,” said Dr. Hagan.
