ATICO Fakhreldin Group Appoints New General Manager

(Free-Press-Release.com) December 22, 2009 -- Jordan's leading hospitality and entertainment provider, ATICO Fakhreldin Group, headed by CEO Mr. Essam Fakhriddin, and COO Mr. Azzam Fakhriddin, recently appointed Mr. Atieh Hamarneh in the capacity of General Manager.

Effective 1 December, Hamarneh's duties will mainly focus on the Group's overall operations and business development.

The new appointment came in view of the extensive experience that Hamarneh enjoys, which is consistent with ATICO Fakhreldin Group's vision and long-term objectives, aiming at expanding the Group's operations in new markets, both locally and regionally and developing new hospitality brands.

Among plans are ongoing renovations to AlQasr Metropole Hotel lobby lounge, Italian restaurant, Trattoria and future renovations to the hotel’s Salad and Sushi bar, Vinaigrette. The hotel’s capacity will also be expanded with the addition of 100 spacious rooms and other facilities on the land neighboring the hotel, where The Courtyard is located.

A new addition to the group's range of outlets is scheduled to open mid 2010 as a new concept lounge and restaurant to run in the location previously occupied by Nai in Shmeisani, behind the hotel. A number of other outlets in different locations are also to open in the period ranging from mid to end of 2010.


Formerly a regional vice-president and director of operations for Intercontinental Hotels Group in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, Hamarneh has held managerial positions with leading international five-star hotels and brands across the Gulf States.

Beside the Intercontinental, he previously worked with luxurious hotel chains such as Marriot.
